At Davinci Medic in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg, a treatment with the fractional CO2 laser on the whole face costs an estimated, approx. 250 €, or approx. 900 € for a package of 4 treatments. For individual areas such as the forehead or cheeks, it is cheaper. Several sessions a few weeks apart are often advisable; we determine the number together after the consultation. Cosmetic treatments are not covered by statutory health insurance.

Worked Example
Three treatments on the face cost an estimated, approx. 750 € individually. If four treatments are planned, the package costs approx. 900 € instead of 1.000 €. We discuss beforehand how many sessions are suitable for your skin.
What Does the Number of Sessions Depend On?
On the skin condition and the aim. The CO2 laser is used, among other things, for:
- fine lines and furrows on the face, neck or décolletage
- coarse pores
- acne scars
- other scars

How does the treatment proceed?
- Numbing: The areas are numbed with a cream.
- Laser: After disinfection, the skin is treated with the fractional CO2 laser; a slight stinging sensation can be felt. The treatment takes around 45 minutes.
- Finish: Cooling mask and serum.
How Long Is the Treatment Visible?
Afterwards, the skin feels warm and is reddened, comparable to sunburn; slight swelling subsides quickly. A yellowish-reddish crust forms, which comes off on its own over the following days. Everyday activities are possible immediately afterwards. It is advisable to avoid public appearances for two to three days. Make-up can be worn again after 48 hours. The areas must be consistently protected from the sun for one month; we therefore recommend the treatment during the winter months.
Risks and When We Do Not Treat
Redness, a feeling of warmth and slight swelling are normal. Temporary lightening or darkening of the skin is possible, particularly with darker skin types or sun exposure in the weeks afterwards, as is the reactivation of cold sores. Infections or scarring occur rarely.
We do not treat, or only after consultation, during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in the case of acute skin inflammation in the treatment area, recent tanning or sunburn, after taking isotretinoin in the last few months, and in cases of a tendency to raised scars (keloids).
How Does the Fractional CO2 Laser Work?
The laser creates tiny micro-injuries in the deeper layer of the skin. These stimulate the body’s own wound healing and collagen formation. The skin renews itself over several weeks, and collagen formation continues for months afterwards.
And a Thread Lift?
In the case of early sagging, for example on the cheeks, jawline, eyebrows or corners of the mouth, a thread lift may also be considered. It is carried out on an outpatient basis under local anaesthetic and costs an estimated, from approx. 600 €; the final price depends on the area and effort involved and is confirmed after the initial consultation.
